Tian Lun Gas Group was founded in 2002, and its subsidiary Tian Lun Gas Holdings Limited (stock code: 01600.HK) was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2010, and has now developed into a leading urban gas operator in China. Guided by two national policies, i.e. rural revitalization and "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" (dual carbon) goals, Tian Lun Gas Group, together with Zhongyuan Yuzi Investment Holding Group, has promoted gas penetration in rural areas and invited a strategic shareholder, Zhuhai Port Holdings Group, to develop green energy, aiming to become a first-class green and low-carbon energy supplier and service provider in China.
Tian Lun Gas Group adheres to the development strategy of "taking root in Henan and going national" and operates businesses covering four major sectors: urban gas, gas penetration in rural areas, green energy, and healthy life. At present, it has realized the strategic layout in 16 provinces including Henan, Hebei, Jilin, Shandong, Shaanxi, Gansu, Hunan, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan and Qinghai. As of June 30, 2023, it owned 69 urban gas projects nationwide, and provided gas services for over 5.44 million urban and rural residents and 43,000 industrial and commercial enterprise customers, covering a population of about 17 million. A total of 9,003 kilometers of medium and high-pressure gas pipelines were laid and operated. The Company owned 51 gas stations in operation, one LNG plant, and 6 long-distance pipelines in operation and under construction. In 2022, the Company had a natural gas distribution of 2,671 million m3 in its operation and agency business.
Tian Lun Gas Group has also signed strategic cooperation agreements with several outstanding energy enterprises, including SPIC Henan Electric Power Co., Ltd., to collaborate on new energy and low-carbon sectors by seizing strategic opportunities in the context of "dual carbon" goals.
Tian Lun Gas explored the market value of millions of rural customers, focused on the integrated development of green energy businesses such as rooftop PV and biogas, and pioneered the "gas-electricity coordination" model, which was implemented in multiple regions such as Hebi, Xuchang, Pingdingshan, and Shangcheng in May 2022 and achieved grid-connected power generation. It has realized an entire process of photovoltaic program development, construction, filing, and grid connection, marking a significant step for Tian Lun Gas Group to enter the photovoltaic field and laying a solid foundation for promoting the development model of Tian Lun's green and low-carbon energy business.
In 2021, the biogas program in Shangshui County, Henan Province was commenced. Using internationally advanced fermentation technology and corn straw as the main raw material, the program can produce natural gas, organic fertilizer, and food-grade carbon dioxide and process 180,000 tons of straw annually, effectively avoiding pollution from straw burning, increasing natural gas supply, and realizing high-quality utilization of straw. The program can produce 18 million cubic meters of natural gas annually; it may become the largest single biomass project of its kind using similar technology in China.
In the future, guided by national policies including "dual carbon" goals and rural revitalization, Tian Lun Gas will collaborate closely with partners in various industries and sectors to expand its presence nationwide and realize the full coverage of its services, aiming to become a first-class green and low-carbon energy supplier and service provider in China.
