On February 11, 2011, Hebi Company and Chunlei Police Station of Hebi City jointly dealt with an incident in which a household connected to gas pipelines without permission and used the gas illegally, eliminating potential safety hazards and ensuring gas supply safety.
At 10 a.m. on the same day, during the patrol inspection, the patrol inspectors of the Shancheng District Pipeline Network Department of Hebi Company found that a household in building No. 11 in the middle yard of the Fourth Radio Factory on Tanghe Street opened the ball valve on the natural gas consumption meter support without permission and directly introduced natural gas into the house through the aluminum-plastic pipe reserved during installation. The patrol inspectors immediately entered the interior of the household for inspection and found that the household connected a double-nozzle ball valve on the incoming aluminum-plastic pipe, and then connected with the hose to use gas without permission. Not only the behavior of this household is the theft of gas, the installation and use also seriously violate the specifications for gas engineering construction and installation and relevant gas management regulations, with great potential safety hazards. As the household refused to admit the fact of using gas without permission, the patrol inspectors then called 110, and the police of Chunlei Police Station arrived on the scene in time. With the cooperation of the police, the household admitted the fact of stealing gas and paid the gas bill and fines. The illegally installed gas facilities were dismantled and potential safety hazards were eliminated.
