On September 9, affected by the tropical depression caused by Typhoon "Capricorn" moving westward, heavy rainstorms occurred in some parts of Hekou County, Yunnan Province, located on the China-Vietnam border, resulting in widespread power, water, and internet outages. In response, all employees at Hekou Company remained on 24-hour standby, immediately launching emergency inspections of the pipeline network to ensure uninterrupted operation of the gas "lifeline".

On the afternoon of September 9, Hekou Company received an alarm about a gas leak on the Binglang Road and immediately dispatched a rescue team to the scene. Due to heavy rain, with water levels reaching chest height and blocking vehicle access in some sections of the road, team members Wang Yun and Chen Lifang waded one kilometer through floodwaters to inspect 16 valve wells and 5 pressure regulating boxes. Their timely action eliminated potential safety hazards. At 9 p.m., severe flooding occurred in the plant's fire pump room and diesel generator room. Company leadership and staff worked through the night to drain the water. After four hours of continuous effort, the risks were successfully mitigated.
Meanwhile, the entire Hekou team maintained round-the-clock readiness, enforcing strict flood response duty and leadership-on-call protocols. Real-time monitoring and reporting of pipeline operations ensured rapid response to any gas-related emergencies; all departments worked in close coordination to maintain plants, stations, and pipelines, and strengthened inspections and hazard elimination for key equipment.
After the storm subsided on September 10, Hekou Company conducted another "dragnet-style" inspection, clearing floodwaters from plant areas. Within 48 hours, it completed the inspection of 31 kilometers of pipelines, 106 valve wells, and 120 pressure regulating boxes in the urban area, removed the silt from 28 valve wells and two pressure regulating boxes. With a strong sense of responsibility, the company safeguarded the safe and stable gas usage for residents in Hekou County.
