After the "June 21" barbecue restaurant liquefied petroleum gas (LPG cylinder) explosion accident in Yinchuan, Ningxia, General Secretary Xi Jinping made the important instruction, requiring special rectification on work safety risks be carried out as early as possible, and safety supervision be conducted in key industries and areas. To learn lessons from the accident and effectively implement relevant requirements, Tian Lun Gas, under the leadership of General Manager Liu Min, issued an emergency notice immediately, demanding that all member companies unify their thinking, take immediate actions, report the explosion accident situation, and carry out a comprehensive special action for the investigation and rectification of hazards at customers' places. Meanwhile, in line with the requirements of the "Work Safety Month", all member enterprises should enhance publicity and training, improve the safety awareness of all employees, and implement risk control measures.
Member companies of Tian Lun Gas responded quickly, and took actions immediately, including carrying out special inspections and rectifications of hazards among customers during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Employees were assigned to conduct safety inspections on gas customers in densely populated areas such as restaurants, shopping malls, and fair markets, with a focus on checking for gas leaks and the use of dual gas sources or multiple types of fuel. For key customers, door-to-door visits were conducted to thoroughly inspect gas consumption meters, gas alarms, pipelines, valves, and the environment for gas consumption. Targeted inspections were carried out based on routine logs of potential hazards. All discovered hazards were followed up and addressed by specially assigned employees. Member companies collaborated with local authorities to complete hazard inspections for liquefied petroleum gas customers, strengthened examination tours and supervision of plant stations and pipeline facilities, and carried out comprehensive inspections without dead end to ensure the safe and stable operation of the gas network. They popularized knowledge about safe gas consumption through various channels such as WeChat public accounts and community outreach.
As of June 25, Tian Lun Gas has sent over 1,000 workers, who have completed the door-to-door hazard inspections for over 30,000 industrial and commercial customers. Currently, the special campaign for the investigation and remediation of hazards at customers' places is still under way.
