On the morning of July 2, the "Three Batches" key project demonstration event of the second quarter of 2023 in Zhoukou City was held at the Shangshui Branch of Yu-Tian Company. Zhang Jianhui, Zhoukou Municipal Party Secretary, led a team for the demonstration and delivered an important speech. Heads of the governmental departments of the city and units directly under the municipal government, secretaries and mayors of each county (city, district), and Cui Chen, person in charge of the Shangshui Branch of Yu-Tian Company, also attended.

Kong Yang, Vice Mayor of Zhoukou City, provided a detailed report on the investment scale, investment intensity per mu, technology, economic benefits, and the statistics of new projects in Zhoukou City for the second quarter. Zhang Jianhui was briefed and pointed out that since the beginning of this year, especially in the second quarter, several high-quality projects with high technology, great innovation capability, and advanced production capacity have been launched to lay a solid foundation for Zhoukou city to accelerate the building of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the basis.

The leaders inspected the core plant areas, technical processes, and supporting equipment of the biomass project, including the straw crushing workshop, the feeding workshop, the organic fertilizer fermentation workshop, the organic fertilizer granulation workshop, the purification area, the temporary liquid digestate storage tank, and the anaerobic fermentation tank. During the inspection, Cui Chen, the project leader at Shangshui Branch of Yu-Tian Company, illustrated the project including the company overview, technological process, social benefits, and development plans. Zhang Jianhui spoke highly of it for utilizing the green resource circulation system, making up for the "disadvantages" in the city's green development, creating the "greatest driving force" for high-quality development, and contributing to new urbanization.

Since the launch of the "Three Batches" project (contracting in a batch, commencement of construction in a batch, and start of operation in a batch) in 2021, the province has followed the idea of giving priority to the projects. This move has distinguished Henan from others in its high-quality development in the new era and injected great vitality into the provincial economy. The event was held at the site of the Yutian Shangshui Biogas Program, which demonstrates the great importance to it from Zhoukou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Tian Lun Gas has, in cooperation with Zhongyuan Yuzi, established Henan Yu-Tian New Energy Co., Ltd. to vigorously promote gas penetration in rural areas, and launch the Natural Gas Production Program by Comprehensive Utilization of Agricultural Wastes in Shangshui County, Zhoukou City. As an example in the rural energy revolution in important agriculture counties, the project sees a total investment of about RMB 600 million, covers an area of 165 mu, and employs dry anaerobic fermentation technology. It may become the single biomass project of its kind using similar technology in China. When it comes to full production, it will annually consume 200,000 tons of corn straw and produce over 18 million cubic meters of natural gas. It is the type of project greatly supported in the implementation of key national strategies. It plays an important role in enhancing the energy use level among urban and rural residents, promoting sustainable agricultural development, improving the rural living environment, pushing forward local industrial and economic development, contributing to rural revitalization, and achieving "dual carbon" goals.
