Keep Customer Needs In Mind: Tian Lun Gas Rated as a "Leading Goose" of Digital and Intelligent Transformation by Alipay

This week, Alipay released its "15th Anniversary Report on Livelihood Services", and Tian Lun Gas, as one of the earliest domestic gas companies to launch online bill payment, is included in the platform's chronicle of events over the past 15 years. Tian Lun Gas's business philosophy centered on customer needs opened the curtain of a nationwide wave of online payment (based on Alipay).

According to the "15th Anniversary Report on Livelihood Services", up to now, more than half of Chinese households pay their bills through mobile phones. Among them, over 20 million customers have linked their utilities payment accounts with their elders; mobile registration service has reduced queuing by 180 times on average for each person since launched; more than 8,000 kinds of public service have been opened online, and one-stop service applets for all 31 provinces across the country launched on Alipay... The data corroborate the achievements of China's digitalization over 15 years, and bear witness to the changes of the times and the warmth of social relationships.

On November 25, 2015, Henan Tian Lun Gas Group and Ant Financial signed a cooperation agreement in Zhengzhou. Both parties announced that they would conduct close practical cooperation in such aspects as gas fee collection and withholding, electronic billing, and Alipay Service Window. The "going online" of gas service caused quite a stir at the time. Electronic bills replaced reminder letters and receipts. Long queues disappeared in service halls, and 24/7 online service became available. Tian Lun Gas's practice is like the first match struck, igniting a demonstrative effect in the industry. "Shortly, Beijing Gas and Guangdong Gas followed the suit... The process of paying for water, electricity and gas bills on mobile phones was accelerated." Wu Meiya, director of Alipay payment service, acclaimed at the press conference the foresight of Tian Lun Gas.

·Let Data Run in Place of Humans

Currently, automated joint handling and one-stop handling of gas services are available on local e-government websites such as housing and urban-rural development, industry and commerce, and public security in Hebi, Xinye, Xichuan, Shenqiu and other places. Taking property transfer for example, once customers finish transaction procedures at the local housing management authority, Tian Lun Gas can automatically complete the switch of gas accounts through backend data interaction, allowing customers to enjoy smart, interconnected convenient services.

 

·Customer + Service: Defend Customers' Gas Use Safety

In today's fast-growing society, how to help elderly people living alone use gas safely? Smart elderly care has become a hot topic of societal concern. Under the regulatory guidance of local governments, Tian Lun Gas installed gas safety devices this year in places like Hebi and Xuchang. At the same time, NFC cards and Internet of Things meters were vigorously popularized to help customers working away from home check daily gas use data online and keep track of the gas use in their parents' homes; the company monitored customers' gas use data in real time through a backend system, and if any abnormality was detected, investigation and handling were carried out immediately to alleviate customers' worries.

Over the years, Tian Lun Gas has adhered to the development direction of digitalization and intelligence. ·Intelligent brain empowers whole-process management
Tian Lun Gas drives service and management with technology. The "Internet of Things + Internet" technology development model is adopted to integrate online and offline information and form big data analysis, so as to improve service levels and management efficiency from multiple aspects such as metering, safety, system interaction, and IoT perception.

GIS system, SCADA system, control center, hidden danger management, and other operational systems are used for intelligent management and control over the whole process including engineering surveying and mapping, safety monitoring, and construction management. Through coordinated control over onsite instruments, we ensure the timeliness and consistency of sampled data, and achieve the purpose of cost reduction and efficiency improvement. At the same time, an online simulation system for the gas pipeline network is applied to conduct precise analyses on pressure, pressure drop, flow velocity, and measurement shortage. Digital twin technology is used to provide scientific basis for the design and renovation plans of pipeline systems, thus ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of pipeline systems and enhancing control and management over pipeline systems.
